Protesters against the recent police killing of George Floyd demonstrate in Boston.

May 30, 2020

Five days after the death of the African-American man in Minneapolis, protesters march through the South End to Boston Police Department Headquarters and Nubian Square. The protest turns violent in Downtown Boston and the Back Bay after midnight.* But peaceful protests by thousands of people resume daily over the next two weeks in Dorchester, East Boston, Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, at Franklin Park, and at an open air mass at Castle Island in South Boston.
